Please read if you'd like to contribute to Marisa's group gift

In light of recent events, we have nixed the photographer idea and would like to collect money to pay for some doula hours. To give you an idea of costs, the doula is $30/hour from 6am to 8pm and $20/hour from 8pm to 6am.

No amount is too small or too great; if you wish to contribute, we only ask it's an amount you are comfortable with. Here's how you can pay:

1. Funded PayPal - Send payments to mctubbs at hotmail dot com
2. Credit Card PayPal - Send payments to mhgroupswap at yahoo dot com
3. Check - Please contact me via an e-mail or PM through the boards and I will provide instructions.

If you are paying with a credit card, please tack on a little extra to cover the fees. I'm not going to be anal and make sure you sent enough to cover fees; just asking for some consideration so we can make sure as much money as possible gets to Marisa.

One last request: If you are paying with PayPal, please make a note in the comments box that this a donation for Marisa and include your BBB ID as well. Try as I may to keep everyone and everything straight, my preggo-brain needs all the help it can get!

I have emailed you but was wondering what is the cut off for gift stuff? I'd like to contribute but counting pennies until 12/15, next payday. Yeah, I know, I know but this time of year is check to check with the holidays. I DO want to contribute something though!

I was getting ready to e-mail you, but I'll just post here so everyone can see it.

On Alexis's suggestion, we are going to have two 'deadlines'. The first will be next week and I am working with her to set that date. We'll have another deadline that will be at least a week later, so if you can't make the first round, you can make a contribution for the second round.

Yes, they know there is a doula fund, but don't know any specifics (who, how much, etc). From the people who were talking to Marisa last week, it became clear that she was incredibly concerned about paying for the extra help. I believe Marisa was told that the people here were doing 'something'.

As far as unpinning, Beth, it can be done whenever you'd like. It's already been here since Thursday, so I have a feeling we've caught the masses, kwim?
