What's up with this? Is it a marketing ploy, or is there something to it? I've read about it online, but only on sites selling the cookware. I'm not getting where the waterless part comes in...can't you just not add water to whatever you're cooking?

Thanks,
Jude

Anyone? Waterless cookware? Even just a rumor?

Thanks!
Jude

My mom had waterless cookware. I think it was called SaladMaster and they sold stainless steel waterless cookware. It was insanely expensive 20 years ago or so when she bought it. She still has it and uses it daily so it has lasted well. I don't know any more to tell you. Hopefully, someone will have more info!

My best friend (who can't cook) has the Turbo Cooker (they have tons of infomercials, or at least they used to) and she LOVES it. I think you put a teeny tiny bit of water in, and it does some kind of convection thing to actually do the cooking because of how the lid is. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking at or not, but if it is, it does seem to work, although I won't be changing what I do anytime soon...
