Merry Christmas to you all! Thanks for all the inspiration in your cards! I love seeing them all and wanted to share. Ordered the prints today to be mounted on white cardstock. Can't wait to send them out so I thought I'd share here first.

What a cutie! Using the pictures in the background was a great idea, I may have to borrow that one next year.

How beautiful!

Ok, I have to ask ... how did you do the background and what effect did you use around the main picture? I am a relative novice to Elements and I would love to know some of your tricks!

TIA ... and again ... beautiful card!

I'm guessing the answer "fiddling around with things, a little of this and a little of that" won't do? I'll have to try to give a better answer when I can open the program and use real names for the tools/effects. I'm pretty new to Elements, too, and mostly figured it out while I worked, so I can't remember what things are really called. I'm pretty fearless when it comes to learning new stuff. I will work on a more detailed answer, but it will probably be Monday before I can sit down to do it. My computer's a little slow and I can't run Powerpoint and Photoshop at the same time. Working on DH's sermon slides for tomorrow so I'll look at it when that's over!

Any little tips will help - I know that a lot of fiddling is involved - I was just looking for some new tools to play with. Scott Kelby's book is on my Christmas list, so I think thay will help too!
