This may not be the best pic of Jake himself (since it's from the back), but it was too cute how he was trying to decorate the tree himself, with baby q-tips he found sitting in a box on the stairway. He was at it, painstakingly, for many minutes and a few different instances. I see he also got his Little People horse in on the act too! That's my boy!

HeeHee! How creative of him! That is a picture worth saving, esp. if he becomes a famous designer some day!

Awwww...that's too freakin' cute! Isn't it so funny when they do stuff like that? The mimicking is just too fun...especially their version of it. Kayla would be proud that he included the LP horse...she's a big fan! :)

That is so cute! He must have been determined b/c I imagine it takes more than one try to get a q-tip to balance just right on a branch!

We were surprised to find that they stick to artificial trees quite well...well enough to still be stuck there days later. Heck, it was some cute haniwork...I had to keep it!

Now that's just funny. You have to wonder what goes through their heads.

Nice job, Jake! Putting it up is much better than tearing it down!

What a cutie pie! In our house, we're more worried about what Jared is pulling OFF the tree - that's just precious that Jake decided to pitch in and "decorate" yours a little more. Great picture. :)

That is so cute! Lucky for you, he is decorating the tree instead of trying to un-do it like in our house!

SO CUTE Andrea! I love the way their little minds work! Now when's he's all grown up, you can tell him about the year he decorated the tree with Q-tips! :D

For this reason too, I put all the ornaments the kids made at the bottom--Ellen likes to move them around the tree from branch to branch.

Thanks ladies! Lest you get the wrong idea, "his" decorations have stayed up, or moved around, but the ones we put up are moving or coming down each day. He's actually been pretty good, but we put lots of nondestructible ornaments at the bottom and I'm pretty sure he's wondering why we put so many "toys" on the tree!

I've already written this story in his baby book.

That's so sweet! I'm glad you captured it in his baby book--I was going to suggest that.

Very sweet!!! I love how toddlers interact with Christmas trees - definitely no fences around our tree here (and it is filled with blocks, Thomas trains and matchbox cars on any given day)!

How sweet! That's definitely a keeper picture and story! And how funny that he's not moving his decorations, just the ones you all put there. ;)
