We had our US today!!

We had our US today, and we are having another girl!!! We are very excited about it, and I am thrilled that DD will have a sister, and that they will only be 2yrs apart. Everything looked perfect in the ultrasound. I am always nervous during these proceedings, so was happy to hear things are looking good. Now we start the name discussion!! We want a name that sounds similar in English and Spanish, so any suggestions are welcome!

CONGRATS on little girl #2!!!! How exciting! We found out we are having a 2nd boy and I am thrilled that our sons will have eachother!!! As far as names go, how about Clarisa or Claire/Clara? I don't think that Claire/Clara has a Spanish origin, but a friend of mine from Mexico had Clara on her short list of names b/c it would work for both sides of the family. (And, yes, I'll confess, DD's middle name is Claire:))

Congratulations, Carmen! That's so exciting. I'm sure you will love having 2 girls + that they will have a blast together. As far as names, my friends who are bilingual both named their daughters pretty common names: Sofia and Sarah. Some children I have taught (though for some reason the boys' names are readily accessible): Gisele, Ana, Flor. Enjoy!

Thanks, everyone! Thanks for the name suggestions. Jenn, DD #1 is Sara, and unfortunately Sofia, which I love, has already been used both on DH's and my side of the family. Kristen, I think Sara and Clara sound too similar. But keep the suggestions coming!!
