Every time she sees me nurse Amelia she starts babbling something really fast, points and cries. My gut translation is that she thinks Mia is hurting Mommy. We tell her that her sister is little and this is how Mommy feeds her, but we're not sure it's clicking.

Any experience with this??

TIA

I would have thought she would be jealous! Poor Sophie.

I've actually been quite surprised at how good she's been. I think that it's hard on her that I've been upstairs in bed the vast majority of the time and not spending a lot of time with her (but with the baby instead).

We're going to venture out this afternoon for groceries. At least she won't be stuck in the house AGAIN.

DD was like this. I pumped some milk into a cup and showed her. She freaked out a bit at that, but then understood that a.) the baby was not hurting me, and b.) really was not starving but rather having "nana" milk.

We had the opposite reaction here. Declan was really curious and liked to watch me feed Meghan. He used to point to my boob then say "boob" then he'd point to the boob pad and say "hat". Then he'd put the hat on his head and laugh. It was so funny. He doesn't do that anymore so it's nice to recall the fun.

Has Sophie gotten any better with this?

Sophie's now at the point of just kind of staring. We keep telling her that this is how Mia has her lunch/breakfast/snack, etc.

At least she's stopped crying.
