I know this is in the wrong forum but I need help fast. What did you use to attach the tracks to the table. Everytime Jackson goes to play with his table the tracks are getting all messed up and I don't want to fight this battle everyday. Did you glue them or screw them down? What type of glue did you use? We got him the Costco table for Christmas and did our Christmas last night since we will be out of town for a week. He LOVES it but we must get the tracks fixed soon!
Thanks for any help! :)

All of our tracks are loose - for my kids, that's half the fun :) Honestly, I don't know anyone that has the tracks nailed or glued down.

I also don't attach the tracks down. Taking the tracks apart and moving them around is a big part of the fun.

I have heard of people using some kind of removable putty to hold track down temporarily.

I wouldn't do anything permanent. DD went through a phase like this, but she slowly figured out that messing up the tracks = no fun!! When your DS is older he'll want to make all kinds of configurations, so I wouldn't do anything that would damage the tracks or table when taking them off. Maybe give it a few weeks and see how it goes?

I would buy a piece of plywood or something to put down if you are thinkign of gluing tracks down..... so later on you can remove the whole thing if your child wants to build their OWN track configuration!

I would suggest using a Hot Glue gun if you want it to be permanant!!!!

Good luck

I would not nail or screw down the tracks. That really limits your options especially as he grows older. If you really want to try and keep them together for a little while you might also try some mounting tape, putty or you can purchase some suretrack clips that will hold the pieces together. They are sold most places that sell Brio, Thomas etc...

I would NOT use anything permanent either. I use the suretrack links too and they work very well. A friend of mine permanently attached hers and her DS STILL got it apart. Plus I agree with PP that taking them apart is part of the fun for them.

I plan on using the putty that Beth mentioned. Our train set is my sister's from when we were kids, so I don't want to use anything that will damage it.
