Please consider signing online petition against Fox TV show...

I figured that this would get more viewing in this forum than under the "Adoption" forum. I saw this link on the Adoptive Families Magazine website. It is an online petition started in reaction to the Fox program "Who's Your Daddy?" set to air Jan 3rd. It involves a female adoptee being presented with several men, all of whom pretend to be her birthfather. If she guesses correctly, she wins $100,000 and if one of the men tricks her into the wrong choice, he wins the cash. But fear not, for the moral Fox Broadcasting will reveal who her birthfather is no-matter-what. How kind. Anyway, if you also find this offensive, please take a minute to sign the petition or go to www.adoptivefamilies.com to find other ways to protest (I have already written Fox Broadcasting and my local Fox affiliate). Thanks.

My DH saw an ad for that show and he told me about it... how awful! How low can FOX stoop? I am disgusted.

I agree that the show sounds crazy. But, why would the woman agree to be on it? I find that amazing.

That is just terrible. My DH is adopted and when we saw the commerical, he said "they just don't get it, do they?" I wonder what's next, maybe having couples fight it out to adopt a baby? Sad.

I usually like watching reunion shows, but turning it into a game show is absurd. Guess Fox got tired of the "Murray" style "We tracked down your father" type of reunions and had to think of something else.

I signed it. I think it is so unbelievably stupid and I got annoyed the first time I saw a commercial for it.

I even find the trailers for the show offensive. Just the way the announcer says "Who's Your Daddy" is soooo irritating. The reality shows are getting way out of hand.

Oh my gosh, I had not heard of this one yet. How despicable, disgusting and shameful. As a person who was adopted, I am even more offended. I will sign it and pass this on to others. This is an all new low for Fox and reality TV in general.
