Baby X has arrived

I am posting this for my wife, so sorry if this DH put it in the wrong place!

At 8 lbs., 11 oz., Baby X made his entrance to our family at 6:43 am, January 15th, 2005. Helene went into labor sometime around 9 pm on the 14th after helping a friend pack for a house move, walking the mall, organizing some baby clothes, and working her last scheduled day at AOL.


We made it to the Hospital at about 1am with our Doula, Michelle. We parked and walked up to find the emergency entrance had moved to the OTHER side of the hospital. So we walked around and stood banging on the ambulance entrance door till some nurse noticed us. By the time we got to L&D Helene was at 9cm and working hard! Woohoo!

5 hours later we had our little boy!

Rob, did you get the message on your machine? Miss Helene HAD to go into labour the VERY day we were going to swing by with the huge pot of chicken curry we had made for you guys! I think the mere thought of curry got the contractions started.. heehee.

Not sure Helene should be having curry unless a gassy baby is what you want, but I will make some more and come by and see you guys this week... at least you can feast on it.
