I know--boring and not related to sex! Anyway, we like the large bath sheets. The last ones I got were from Lands End and they are nice, but just wondering what else was out there and hoping to save a few bucks.

Thanks!

Well, mine are the Land's End Egyptian Cotton towels. I've had 1 set for 6 years and 1 set for 3 or 4 years and they are both soft, alive and kicking. Love 'em!

Noble Excellence Egyptian Cotton Towels from Dillards. We got the Noble Excellence II towels which are really thick and soft, but I wish we had sprung for a couple of the really soft ones:

[link:www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&langId=-1&storeId=301&productId=500549317&Ntk=all&Nty=1&Ntt=towels&search.x=0&search.y=0&searchUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dillards.com%2Fendeca%2 FEndecaStartServlet%3FNtk%3Dall%26Nty%3D1%26Ntt%3D towels%26search.x%3D0%26search.y%3D0&R=HBT012|super soft]

DH's aunt got some of these on sale last February (after x-mas sale) and paid less than half price! They're the softest towels I've ever used!

But these are the ones WE got:
[link:www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&langId=-1&storeId=301&productId=500540760&Ntk=all&Nty=1&Ntt=towels&search.x=0&search.y=0&searchUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dillards.com%2Fendeca%2 FEndecaStartServlet%3FNtk%3Dall%26Nty%3D1%26Ntt%3D towels%26search.x%3D0%26search.y%3D0&R=HBT011|pretty nice]

These are nicer than any towels we've gotten before, so I can't complain. :P

If you go for the grove colored ones, they're 50% off right now.

DH's aunt got some of these on sale last February (after x-mas sale) and paid less than half price! They're the softest towels I've ever used!

But these are the ones WE got:
[link:www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&langId=-1&storeId=301&productId=500540760&Ntk=all&Nty=1&Ntt=towels&search.x=0&search.y=0&searchUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dillards.com%2Fendeca%2 FEndecaStartServlet%3FNtk%3Dall%26Nty%3D1%26Ntt%3D towels%26search.x%3D0%26search.y%3D0&R=HBT011|pretty nice]

These are nicer than any towels we've gotten before, so I can't complain. :P

If you go for the grove colored ones, they're 50% off right now.

Noble Excellence Egyptian Cotton Towels from Dillards. We got the Noble Excellence II towels which are really thick and soft, but I wish we had sprung for a couple of the really soft ones:

[link:www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&langId=-1&storeId=301&productId=500549317&Ntk=all&Nty=1&Ntt=towels&search.x=0&search.y=0&searchUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dillards.com%2Fendeca%2 FEndecaStartServlet%3FNtk%3Dall%26Nty%3D1%26Ntt%3D towels%26search.x%3D0%26search.y%3D0&R=HBT012|super soft]

DH's aunt got some of these on sale last February (after x-mas sale) and paid less than half price! They're the softest towels I've ever used!

But these are the ones WE got:
[link:www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&langId=-1&storeId=301&productId=500540760&Ntk=all&Nty=1&Ntt=towels&search.x=0&search.y=0&searchUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dillards.com%2Fendeca%2 FEndecaStartServlet%3FNtk%3Dall%26Nty%3D1%26Ntt%3D towels%26search.x%3D0%26search.y%3D0&R=HBT011|pretty nice]

These are nicer than any towels we've gotten before, so I can't complain. :P

If you go for the grove colored ones, they're 50% off right now.

I never pay attention to towels and always ruin mine (Martha Stuart I am NOT!),so I have a brand new pair at hand when people come to visit/spend the night... BUT if you have like a Marshall's, TJ MAXX or Filene's basement near by (you know, the places where you can find great deals on sometimes nice stuff, depending on store), I see many many nice brands in those stores, Ralph Lauren comes to mind...

We got Land's End Supima towels when we first got married, and I loved them. We recently moved, and I got new towels from Restoration Hardware! I can't say enough about these towels, but they are pretty pricy. They are so plush though! Happy shopping!

I often have good luck at Marshall's...

I tend to use bleach too much, and have been known to ruin a towel or 2, so it is the perfect place for me. I have gotten Ralph Lauren there, which are really nice and thick (though now a slightly different color due to my bleach addiction).

Real Simple did a comparison a while back and the LLBean egyptian cotton towels got the best rating in the intermediate price range.

We like Company Store ones. I don't like to skimp on towels, I bought some from Target and they turned into peat moss in about two washes.

Ralph Lauren -- I bought Ralph Lauren bath sheets when I went away to college nearly 16 years ago!!! They are still in perfect condition -- I'm not kidding -- no fading, no rips, still plush and soft. I registered for some guest towels when we were getting married (Macy's store brand). They've only been used maybe 5 - 6 times a year and have already begun to show some wear.

We LOVE the LL Bean bath sheets. Their towels are so nice and fluffy. I used to really like the Ralph Lauren ones (usually got them at Marshalls or the Ralph outlet), but I think the LL Bean ones are better. I am a towel snob (former competitive swimmer so frequent towel user ;) ) so I have no tolerance for wimpy towels. :)

I've always gotten Ralph Lauren from Stein Mart or Marshalls and they've been fine. I have to get white for DH because he's so hard on them--I need to bleach them to get the red clay out--so I just go to Target or someplace for those.

The towels in my guest bath are from Target, actually--I wanted velour and needed them to be cheaper, and since they get very little use they're just fine, although I've had to buy the hand towels twice already! LOL about the peat moss comment, that's true!
