Excuse my terminology- just can't think of a better way to phrase it. I am looking for the ones where you can help a feed a child for x dollars a month. I used to give to an organiztion called Christian Foundation of the children and Aging. http://www.cfcausa.org/

Is it reputable? How can I find out which ones give the most and have the least overhead?
Thanks!

Daniella,

I am involved with an organization called All God's Children. It supports an orphanage in Honduras. They have a sponsorship program. All money donated by sponsors goes directly to care for the child.

All admin/overhead is covered by volunteers.

It is an explicity Christian organization and the orphanange is also Christian (the kids have onsite Bible lessons).

Email me if you're interested. I don't think they have a website up yet, but I can get you a brochure in the mail.

My aunt has worked for Save The Children for 20+ years. I am not sure if they have a child sponsorship program but I know it is a very reputible organization.

We have a sponsered child through World Vision. The program is nice! I don't have the nity-grity details, but I'm sure they are online. We just got our child's report card on Friday- he is doing very well in all subjects, except English. He drew us a picture of an animal (can't tell what kind) and asked for us to send him a picture! Logan will have an art project this afternoon :) Anyway, it is $26 a month and the money actually goes to the whole "community" that they are working with for food, schooling, medical care, training in farming. We have been with their program for over 6 years and this is our second child- the first one "graduated" out of the program.

We also sponsor through World Vision and have been very happy with it. We sponsor through Compassion International, too, and have liked it just as well.
