Yay!

Without getting into all the details of why I've been feeling sorry for myself lately, let's just say I was very excited when on my front step today was a package from the Brownie Fairy!

How in the world did you know that I'm a lighthouse freak??? The plates are fabulous, and I may eat Moose Munch for dinner tonight :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

ETA: Oh, and if you were worried about breakage, the plates arrived in *perfect* condition. My mail-lady is awesome, and the rest of the folks along the chain must have read all your 'Fragile' notes on the outside of the box :)

Hey Heather-
I'm not responsible, but I'm glad you are enjoying your package!

So, sorry to butt in, but I've been meaning to ask you about your screen name.
I ask because we've always called my good friend, Heather, "Hezz." By way of explanation, her mom is German and tends to pronounce her name as "Hezza."

Just thought you might think it was cool that there's another Hezz/Heather out there!

I hope you feel better soon. :)

Thanks :)

My nickname stems from my sister & brother being unable to pronounce "Heather" and saying "Hezzer" instead-- very similar story! All my old HS and college friends (and even those I've told around here!) call me Hez still-- makes me feel not quite so old.

And yes, I love knowing that someone else shares my nickname!

My friend Heather's husband also calls her "Hez". : )

Heather, I'm glad you enjoyed your surprise! It took me a bit to find a gift that I was excited to send you, but when I saw the lighthouse dessert plates I knew it would be a good gift since you like lighthouses :) I thought if you didn't want to use them as dessert plates, then you might have a display hutch or plate rack to enjoy looking at them! So relieved that they arrived in good condition!
And I have been known to have Moose Munch for my dinner too! :9
Enjoy! And like I said, you are a wonderful mom and member here- I was pleased I could be your Brownie Fairy :)

Wow, what a thoughtful Brownie Gift! You're right, Hez is a wonderful mom and member here!

Okay, so now I need to know. What is Moose Munch? :P

ohhh, DH loves Moose Munch! It's yummy popcorn and chocolate (at least the ones we get) treats. Here's a link to it...

Thank you, again!

And I do have places to display the plates! I haven't decided exactly how I'm going to use them, so right now they're sitting out where DH will see them when he gets back from his golf trip on Monday. I called him on the course yesterday and he thought it was pretty neat that I'd been Brownie Fairy-d. Not sure what the rest of the guys thought ;)

Do I get a hint, by the way? :)

That is cute that you called your DH to tell him about this! My husband was stunned when the Brownie Fairy visited me! :)

A hint, if I haven't already given it away, is that both our husbands wanted the same team to go to the Super Bowl... I loved the pic of your guys during the Super Bowl. :)

I wondered if that first post was the hint :)

Thank you, Julie! If I haven't made it clear enough, it really made my day to get that package yesterday. Heck, it might have made my week!

I really enjoy the idea of the Brownie Fairy-- it's so much fun. We used to do something similar in our sorority-- we called it Alpha Phi Underground, and no one knew who our secret little group was except the 3 or 4 of us who decorated doors and left little gifts for sisters studying for big tests or having boy trouble...

I'm still impressed you dug up the info on my lighthouse addiction!

I'm so crazy! I thought I was signed in as Brownie Fairy when I left a message... then I looked at the message and I was signed in as myself! So, I really gave the secret away :)

I love the idea of your old Alpha Phi Underground! Doesn't it feel wonderful to do random acts of kindness?!
