We are looking at the Rainbow structure that Costco sells. It's $1200 in the store. Just curious as to whether anyone has this particular structure, and how you like it. I'd also be curious to know how Costco swing sets from previous years are holding up. Thanks!

I personally don't have it - but my nieghbor does. Their daughter always seems to be playing on it. DH and I drool over it all the time. I think it took them 2 days (not full days) to build it. I've actually seen a few of them in our neighborhood.

I know it's not much of a help...

>Now researching double strollers :)

Is this a hint? :D

ETA: Your son has the same birthday as Kaya! He's the first one I've seen with it. :)

Just a tiny one since I'm very early. I couldn't help myself (about the hint and about the research)! I don't even know a due date yet. Thanks for noticing! :)

Aaron has a birthday buddy! Kaya is the first I've seen with his birthday too.

Okay, how about a tiny congratulations and wishes for a healthy pregnancy and delivery? :)

Yay, Kaya has a birthday buddy! Now I have someone to share stories with. :) Of course right now she's teething (finally has one molar and another one coming in) and she's getting through a head cold, so she's not really feeling great these days, but other than that, she's doing fine. :)

Thanks for the tiny congrats!

Aaron still has no molars. But judging by his tantrums today, I think he's working on at least one! I hope Kaya's head cold goes away fast! :)

(sorry to hi-jack)

My husband helped his cousin put one of these together last year, it also took several days to do, but they would do a little at a time. It is holding up really well with the exception of the rock climbing wall thing, the wood on that needs to be restained after a years worth of use but there son and daughter climb on that daily! (None of the rest of the set needs stained)

Ok I just dug up a picture from about a month ago, I cropped it down, but you can kind of see the climbing wall in it so maybe you can see what I am talking about.

We plan to buy a new swingset next year and will buy whichever Rainbow set Costco is carrying at the time. So that tells you we are very happy with it.

That's the one that we have too. I'm amazed how much my 2 yo plays on it. That said, I think that she will find it too little in the next 2-3 years. I'm now wondering if we should have just spent the money for a larger one with a 6 ft high deck. Oh well! It is very nice and we've had no complaints other than the rock climbing wall issue as mentioned above.

I know a few people who have them and they've been VERY happy. They have a bit lesser of a warranty than one from the Rainbow showroom (I THINK 10 years vs. "lifetime" - don't quote me on that though).

But the price is great for what you get. My backyard neighbors bought from the showroom b/c they missed the Costco deal. They spent quite a bit more for a slightly smaller set. (The fort is probably 50% smaller.)
