Yoohoo people!
We were discussing this in Layette but thought I would post here for general info also.
If you want to delete old attachments but don't want your post bumped up to the top, you can do that.
Just Edit your post, click on the link where it says Delete Attachments. Check the boxes for the attachments you want deleted and hit the Delete button.
Do not hit UPDATE on the post. The attachments are deleted already.

Posts that are pretty old cannot be edited.. not sure why, but it will give you an error message when you try to edit them.

Hope this helps someone. :D

Vivian,
Just refresh your window a few times, the pics should be gone. The pics are stored in your browsers cache so that is why you will see them.. the pics are definitely deleted from the windsorpeak server though.

Okay, cool. Now I have a challenge question for you *weg*

How in the heck do you delete your own post? I'm asking because I just made a godawful fool of myself (No I won't tell you all where :P ) because I was impatient that my comp wasn't refreshing quick enough while I was posting and hit the 'post message' 3 times. Now, of course, as luck would have it I have 3 duplicate posts in the thread and no way to delete the excess!

Is there a way to delete your own posts without bothering the moderators? Thanks! :)

Nope. You can't delete your own post - only those of us with magical powers ;) :P

I took care of it already

You can't delete an old post but can't you just go to it, hit edit, delete the title and content of the post and just put the word 'deleted' there instead?

Thanks for the quick response to the photo deletion request.
