OT Need help coming up with something creative for a business name...

My friend Monica and I are going to start a business. But we are both lacking in the creative naming area...so we need help!

The proposed services we are going to offer are as follows:

Cloth Diapers Covers and Accessories (retailing only at first)
Mama Cloth and Diva Cups
Slings
Bradley Classes
Doula Services
Baby Signs classes and products
Signing Times DVD's
Breastfeeding products and pumps


We are going to grow as we go, but haven't even started yet! All the state forms require a business name.

This isn't a pitch, it's just that we want something clever and we obviously aren't creative enough to think of something on our own. Well at least something that hasn't already been used!

Christy--I'm trying to come up with something but nothing is coming to me right now. (I think I used all my creative juices this month on Daddy pics, lol)

What about something like Nature's Best--Products for Baby and Mama? (like I said I'm not coming up with much ;) )

I'll keep thinking....

How about Tops and Bottoms or Birth and Beyond? (Sorry, not feeling very creative!)

You probably already know this, but in most states you can check the Secretary of State's website to make sure that the name you do pick is not already being used. If you can't come up with a name that you love right now, you can go ahead and form your company or partnership, then file another form later to "do business" under another name. Good luck on your new venture!

I don't know, try something with your or her last name...your personal philosophical beliefs, hometown area, etc to personalize it...but your consumers need to know in no uncertain terms what services you provide.

I will keep you posted, we are still in discussions at this point, but we wanted to get everything filed with the state and get started researching products/pricing and such.
It is so much work, but I really want to stay home with the next one, so if I start now by the time he/she rolls around in 2 yrs or so hopefully we will be well established and we will be able to afford it.

According to DH I am not allowed to know what cute froggy things are out there anymore. Poor guy he is surrounded by them at home, I am limited to three per room, lol. Don't worry they are classy not tacky Dollar Store Stuff! (Though I do get a lot of those as gifts...very odd looking usually)

There are several mamas here and on the BBB Homebiz yahoo group. You might get some direction as to how they set their sites up for business. Here is a link to the yahoo group. You will need to get approved, so put your BBB id in when you apply. And you don't have to have your business up and running. There are lots of us that are just there *in case* we need something!
