My computer decided to crash at the most terrible time so I am just now getting around to posting Tyler's birth story. I think all the pictures I downloaded killed it. :)

Tyler William was born on June 9th at 8:41pm. He was delivered at 37 weeks and weighed 8lbs. 12.4oz and was 21 inches long. He was HUGE for being so early. Probably would have been around 11lbs. if I had went to term. I can't imagine. :)

After way too much early labor and so many difficulties with this preganacy we checked into the hospital on June 9th at 6am. It took well over an hour and many many sticks to get the IV started so we didn't actually start the pitocin until around 8am. I was contracting regularly every 3 min prior to the pitocin so once they started it the contractions really got strong. My OB broke my water and I was given my Epi. around 1:30. I quickly went to a 7 where I stayed for the next 6 hours.

At around 6pm Tyler started to get really stressed and his heart rate was dropping very low and staying there for awhile with each contraction. My pitocin was stopped and then started up again an hour later at a very low dose. I was convinced I was going to have a C-Section. Around 7:30 I was feeling so much pressure and had to push with the contractions. I was at a 9 1/2. My nurse had me start pushing at around 8:10 even though I wasn't completely dialated because we were really starting to worry about the heart rate. Tyler was out 31 min. later. My epidural didn't work so well this time around and I felt everything but given the fact that Tyler needed to get here fast I guess it was a blessing. I was able to do what I needed to do.

It wasn't the quiet birth experience I wanted because Tyler came out and was having difficulty breathing. He was in my room for 20 min and then taken off to the NICU for the next 3 hours. I missed his first bath and his first bottle. Jacob was in the NICU with him. I finally convinced my nurses to take me to see him and was so sad that I was being pushed into a room full of babies and I didn't even know which one was mine. Tyler continued to struggle through the night and the next day but turned a corner at the 24 hour mark and has been perfectly fine ever since then. He is beautiful and is such a good baby. A complete joy to have around.

My mom and Jackson came into the room the instant Tyler was born and it was amazing to see Jackson's reaction. I think it was one of my favorite moments. He is doing great and seems to think Tyler is another toy. He will pass by and say something to him and then run off. We haven't had any issues with him being jealous and everything seems to be falling into place perfectly. Oddly enough it seems easier this time around even though I have 2 kids. I keep waiting for the bomb to drop. :)

Congratulations! We've been anxiously awaiting news! Tyler is gorgeous! Heck, you're all gorgeous! I love the pics of Tyler and Jackson, and the all the ones where Tyler is sleeping. Reminds me so much of my Jacob as a newborn! And bless his heart, the pics of him in the NICU were so precious!

You are all so sweet! I guess I should explain that I normally wouldn't lay my newborn baby out on the patio table but he was getting really jaundice and we were trying to avoid another trip to the doctor. It worked! :) I think the heat index was 105 that day so he wasn't cold. ;)
