I'm looking for a growth chart, preferably wooden, to track DS's height. I've seen a couple, but either they end at 5 ft or they are cloth. Can anyone give me some recommendations? Thanks!

This is the growth chart we have (DH surfs & hopes his girls follow in his footsteps) which is on the expensive side but figure we'll have it after the kids are grown and gone. We have the Kauai Nights print and matching step stool.

This ends at 5 and half feet - which may not be what you are looking for:

I can't vouch for the quality because I haven't seen them IRL, but I did send a photo growth chart from this site as a gift.

There are two that are appropriate for boys on www.funtocollect.com, one is Snoopy and goes to 5'6", the other is Cat in the Hat and looks like it goes to about 5'4".

How about buying a piece of wood/board/similar from a home improvement store? We're going to do this so we can remove it from the wall for painting and such. I don't want ours to be decorated but you could decorate it if you wanted.

ETA: What I'm describing isn't a growth chart, per se. I had several friends growing up who charted their heights on doors/walls without actually writing the measurements. My idea is along those lines. We're putting ours in a "public" area in our kitchen/dining room.

Hmm...I like this idea. In fact, I could even glue on a cloth or cardboard chart on it. Anyone have any good sources for growth charts in general?

I love the stuff Dolce Mia makes. Here are their growth charts. We have the faires and the jungle one - they are very cute.

That is a good idea! A good friend of ours uses the back of their basement door. There are a bunch of little lines and then a date and a child's name. There is even a mark for mom and dad! It is too cute! They just plan to take the door with them if they move a buy a replacement. I love it!

We have the large ruler from PBK...and are going to just write on it. I wanted DH to just make one, but I would be waiting forever!!

There are super cute laminated card-style ones that you could attach to a board if you wanted to, at www.eeboo.com That's the manufacturer's site, but they point you to the retailers.
