Can you ladies recommend some stores/boutiques in the Western Suburbs of Chicago where I can buy my DD's baptism outfit? I have been to Strasburg Children, and they have nice stuff, but they are SOOO expensive. I don't really have a budget, but I'd like to be somewhat practical as she'll probably only be in it for an hour or so.

TIA!

Have you checked out the mall stores? Marshall Fields, Carson's JC Penney, Sears all had pretty girl ones (now for an older boy like we were looking for, totally different story). I know that there's a religious store in Oak Lawn (about 98th and Cicero) that supposedly has some nice outfits, but I've never been in it myself.

I bought DS's baptism gown at Jordan Marie in Woodfield Mall. It was a little pricer than we wanted, but it is very gender neutral and they offer free monogramming of the hem for each child. Here's a picture of it.

Thanks for your recommendations. I am going out to look at the stores you listed tomorrow just to get an idea of what's out there! I appreciate your help!

Talbot's Kids and Janie and Jack always seem to have christening clothes. If you have time to shop online, you might want to check out:

I bought a boy's suit from them once and was very pleased.
