So Taran's sort of scooting around on his Kettler right now (we haven't figured out how to pedal, but he can push himself around with his feet) and he manages to scoot over a book that I didn't realize was on the floor until he did that. I looked down at the book and then looked at him and said, "Are we pulling books of the shelves that we shouldn't be?" (This was one of my books, not his.) He looks at me, looks down at the book, and then looks back up at me with a totally innocent look on his face and shakes his head and goes, "No." It was just really funny and cute at the same time. ;)

So anyone else have books that are apparently jumping off the shelves all by themsleves? (Or any interesting things that your baby, toddler, or child has done?)

Well, Sophie's figured out how to open the refrigerator. At first I thought it was kind of cute that she'd bring me a yogurt and spoon. It then progressed to a pound of ham and some sliced cheese.

I drew the line when I turned over in bed and she handed me a bottle of ranch dressing!!!

There's now a lock on the fridge door.

ROTFL!!! I have no idea why, but your post struck me as the most hilarious one of the day. Thanks for the laugh!

LOL! What a progression, Marisa. Ranch dressing, indeed.

Ishie has discovered the concept of social engineering. Yesterday, our roommate told him "no" when he was doing something he shouldn't. (Not a big no — it wasn't something dangerous — just gentle but firm no to teach him not to do that.) First he looked at her and tried to get her to smile; then he checked my expression (which I made sure was serious to reinforce the lesson), and then he held his hands out to her to pick him up. When she did, he gave her the sweetest kiss.
