I just wanted to share for she is so strong that I just don't see her coming out and saying it and thought we as a community should know so we can be there for her!

Helene (Ismommy) is married to the guru of war photography (my words not theirs but I know it to be true)...and it appears he is going in August. I might have some of my info jumbled some but he is working with a Marine group and doing documentary footage and following them thru training and combat etc...

He was there during her pregnancy and now is going back.

Helene has known this is coming up...in fact there were times she thought he was going right after Gunner's birth...

I will keep folks posted!!!!
But I know this mommy could use some TLC...some love notes...some checking on in his absence!!!!

She has many BBB friends near her but no family so I thought all of us should know since she is such a postive presence on our boards.

Oh, Helene, lots of hugs! You and your family will be in my prayers as you prepare for his departure and then while he's over there and you're over here. :( I will pray for his safety and your peace of mind during the whole time.

Kaya sends you lots of hugs and kisses!

Oh Helene, I'm sorry Rob has to go back. Hopefully it won't be for too long. We'll have to have some area get-togethers, if you're up to it. Let us know if you need anything.

Hugs,

Helene - I knew as soon as I read Neve's header that this would be about you! I'm sorry to hear that your DH is heading out again, but I've seen a few of the pics you've posted and he seems like a fab photog. Big hugs to you and safe travels to him!

Helene, the best to Rob in his travels. And the best to you in hanging in there day to day with the kiddos - I wish that I was closer to help!! On a serious note, my SIL will be moving near Dulles in a few days and will be pregnant but bored (not working - she's a teacher and has worked day care for years) in August; drop me a line if you want her contact info!

Helene,

You have my truest respect. I have gone through quite a few of DH's deployments with only more to come (actually DH just came home from a month-long training exercise). If you're in the NoVa area, I'm not too far away. Let me know if I can do anything for you...a call, letter, an outing, maybe a trip for some outlet shopping at Potomac Mills??

I know Marines sometimes deploy for a year at a time...but I truly hope you don't have to wait that long.

You're in my thoughts/prayers...and so is your DH. Our pastor just got called to Active Duty and is leaving our church so we've got open lines of communication to that area. Let me know if you're having trouble getting any info on him (both my DH, pastor and father are active duty and knowledgeable about units over there).

Aww Neve! and everyone else who has posted thanks so much for the great thoughts. Right now everything is still very much up in the air. Rob has been working on project since April 2004 with a specific group of marines so he will be heading to Iraq whenever they go. Originally he was supposed to go back in March but ended up continuing with this project instead. So now we are just in waiting mode for when the marines are sent. Right now it looks like August but it could and hopefully will be later.
He just spent a month in CA with them which is one of the reasons I havent been posting much. My hands have been pretty full. I do want to say though Congratulations to all our new mommies and happy birthday to everyone who has been celebrating lately.
