we're planning to hire a nanny as we now have two. my ds is turning three soon and dd is just 3 weeks old.
i was wondering how to go about doing background checks if an agency was not used and how to go about getting health insurance and auto insurance for the nanny. (also how much would these cost on average)
also, how much do people pay for a live in nanny for 1 or two children. (havent decided whether to pull DS out of fulltime daycare/preschool yet). also i cant imagine how a nanny can handle two at this age as i can bearly do this while on maternity leave (of course a good nights sleep would help). does anyone hire two nannies, one to take care of each child?
any details regarding hiring a nanny would be appreciated. we live in northern suburbs of chicago by the way. TIA.
