This is a really dumb question, that I need answered. I just found a case of Dasani in my basement. I am sure I bought it for the actual move to this house, late 2003. Can I still use it? I can't find an expiration date on it. I remember hearing that you can't use the gallon containers of bottled water after so long because of the chemicals in the plastic, is the same true for the liter bottles? TIA! :)

I would. As long as it is sealed what could happen to it? I personally don't pay much attention to expiration dates on beverages that are in sealed containers. (other than perishables)

Did you look carefully on the bottles? I think most do have an expiration date imprinted on them. I probably wouldn't use it, but I might be paranoid. Could be good for watering plants or something.

The containers I buy always have a 2-year shelf life. You could try it and if it's not good use it for plant watering like a pp suggested.
