Oh, she really does know Mama and Dada now!

So I mentioned in the other thread that Kaya might actually understand Mama and Dada. Well, today, I was in the Den with DH and she wandered out into the livingroom, but still in our sights. I noticed her over by the bookshelf, but couldn't see what she was doing. But she seemed to be reaching for something. Suddenly, I hear her say, "Mama, mama, mama..." in a deliberate way and she's clutching something to her chest. At first I thought it was a picture of DH from when he was a baby, but then she started walking towards me and kept saying it. When she got to me, she showed me the picture, and lo and behold, it was a picture of me from College!

Ah, be still my heart!

Oh, and she did sign Daddy several times today, and I think DH got her to sign Mama as well. :D

Well, Kaya really seems like she wants to master a skill first before letting the world know. I am so glad she's saying mama and papa :) COngrats to you guys :)
