Heard a rumor over on the swap board that maybe you were headed in that direction. Wanted you to know my thoughts are with you and I am sending hypno vibes your way. (And a million apologies that we never connected by phone). Can't wait to hear news and to hear that you and baby are doing great.

Not yet! But I'm at least having contractions and am 70% effaced. More than ever happened with Gracie! I've been doing all kinds of voodoo and herbal stuff and acupuncture and... COME OUT LITTLE GUY!

Thanks for the well-wishes. So maybe we could still chat about hypno. After the exam today, I was wishing for an epidural right there. ;)

Well there's always the pedicure. No really it's a pediCURE. Better than voodoo. And safer. ;)

She's right. Had my pedicure the day before I went into labor.

Ooooh, I'm so excited! Can't wait to hear the exciting news!

Jamie, I didn't realize you had done this, too! That's what worked this time around for us.

Will a cheesy strip mall place work? I tried to get an appointment at a nice place but they were all booked and wouldn't take pity on the large pregnant woman. :(

Well, I don't know! The place I went to was pretty fancy. The lady who did the pedi (what is she called?) knew exactly what I was talking about though.

Toe painter?

Argh. I'll call around tomorrow. The place I tried to get in had a buy one service (I was going to do reflexology) get one half off (the fancy pedi)... I'll call early and beg.

You've to get a spa pedi. I've had three friends in the last couple of months that within 12 hours after getting the pedi they were in labor!

I did hypnobirthing with my Gracie and it was amazing. We made sure to let the nurses know that we wanted no lights on in the room, nobody coming and going, door shut, low music playing and my dh just did what we had practiced. I remember feeling so relaxed. Of course, the contractions were horrible, but I really got through them with the hypno.
My labor was less than five hours and no pain meds...

Anna - don't go to the cheesy strip mall, you don't want to get toe fungi!

Just have sex, then catch a cold - that worked for me!

Just have dh rub your feet really good, that is what does it, there are pressure points in the foot that stimulate labor. Good luck!! I can't wait to hear when he arrives :D.

Heck, even if the pedicure doesn't do it, it'll make your toes pretty, and be nice and relaxing. (I've already got one scheduled for in August. ::duck::) Of course, I hope it does work out for you!

Congrats on your progress so far though! :)

Oh, Anna, I feel like Neve does! It seems like just yesterday you were even having Gracie, and now you're ready to pop with your little boy! Sounds like things are moving, and I can't wait to hear the news about your newest little guy!

Enjoy your pedi, if you can get one! Update us asap, or even tell us when there's no news, or we'll all be speculating when we don't see you here!

OK, I hadn't heard the pedi=labor stories! I have a pedi scheduled for this afternoon (a friend gave me a "tips and toes" gift certificate!) I'm not quite ready to go into labor yet...but I may schedule a follow-up appointment for August!

Anna, I wish you a quick, and as painless as possible labor & delivery! Can't wait to hear the birth story!
