Mac Lovers: Has anyone bought a refurb mac?

I'm looking into getting one because I can get one for $300 of the regular price. Anyone have any experience with refurbs? Specifically a powerbook refurb?

Do it! And go through ebates.com for 2% back. I bought one for home; 3 for work a few weeks ago and 2 more for work just this week!

No qualms whatsoever. We used the savings to add extra memory, etc!

I've heard nothing but good things about them, and they come with the same 1 year warranty as those brand new.

I bought my iBook as a refurb three ago. Runs like a dream! From what the guy at the store said, the person who bought it opened the box, decided he/she didn't want it, and returned it. It's still truckin', though the G5 iMac is calling my name....
