According to the owner's manual, the Graco Pack-N-Play says to stop using it once your child reaches 30lbs or 35 inches in height. Did everyone stop using it once their child reached this limit or do you still think it's safe to continue using until the child can climb out? The 21 month old I babysit naps in ours every day, but she hasn't reached either limit yet. Conner, however, who only uses it for sleeping when we travel, is both 30lbs and 35 inches tall exactly, but he has never tried to climb out of it. Should I stop using it with him and move on to one of those inflatable toddler beds for traveling?

I still let my DS use it on vacation and he's over both the height and weight limit. I'm sure that there are people who would frown on me doing this but I don't feel that it's unsafe. Graco needs to set a limit for liability purposes but I slept in the same room as DS and could see that the PnP was safe with him in it.

I agree with Jessica. My son is over both limits, but we plan to use it for an upcoming vacation anyway. As long as he can't climb out, I'm comfortable with it.

We moved DS#2 to the toddler Areo bed and love it. He is also now sleeping in a twin bed and not a crib.

My DS is over 32 lbs and probably pushing 35 inches if he's not there already and he's slept several times in the PNP this summer on vacation. He hasn't tried to climb out and it still seems stable with him in it.

Mia slept in it a couple of weekends ago and she is nudging 35 inches (only 26 pounds though) but she can climb out as evidenced by our trip to my parent's cottage Memorial Day when she made guest appearances after bedtime a couple of different nights.

Still, she sleeps well in there and two weeks ago she did two nights without even attempting to climb out so I think it is much safer than a bed and having her wandering around the IL's or my parent's non-baby proofed homes. She is still in a crib at home.

When we go to Portugal in September I'm debating what we'll do since Jack will need a pack and play for naps and the start of each night when I'm not in bed - I really do not want to bring two PNPs but I'm also not sure about the aero bed in an old European house. By then she will certainly well exceed the height as she is growing like a weed right now.
