Gabe's been grabbing the front of his diaper lately, making a pained face, and saying "itchy". He doesn't have a rash or anything, but this happens a few times with each diaper he has on...several times a day. He'll complain about it for a minute, and then continue playing happily. So, I'm thinking it hurts when he's going pee pee?

Any thoughts here?

Could you feel the diaper right after he says that to see if it's warm (like he just peed) to figure out if its hurting right when he pees? Does he have a fever or does the pee smell funny or is more darker/pinkish/orangish than normal?

DD went through a phase where she would grab her diaper and make a funny face, but we noticed she did it soon after a new one was put on. It ended up being that she didn't like the feel of a new diaper since it wasn't "worn in" and softened up (like when you put a pair of jeans on that you've already worn and they feel softer), does that make sense at all?!! I started kind of shaking the diaper before I put it on her and that helped make it less stiff. She's ultra sensitive to things like this (seams and tags are torture for her!). This is a huge reason why we stopped using Huggies - they drove her crazy!

I hope you are able to figure out what's bothering him soon!

Could be. I'd call the doctor.

Could it be a reaction to his meds from croup? I'd call the doctor no matter what. OR it could be he just went and he's confusing itchy and wet... Carson knows when he goes, so we've started potty training.
