My kids are trying to kill me...

They're trying to kill me with sleep deprivation. I think that they decided this form of torture a few weeks ago. You think that there is no meaning to the baby talk but it is actually a secret language.

My 2yo DD has decided to wake up at 12am, 2am, 4am, and 6am.
My 6 mo DS has decided on 11pm, 1am, 3am, and for the day at 5am.

This has been going on for 11 days now and I am exhausted.

This morning, I witnessed them giving each other a secret, triumphant smile. Yes, they have almost succeeded in their mission. Only a few more days left before I have to check myself into the looney bin.

Which year will I be able to sleep all night? 2008? 2009?

I hope you get some sleep soon! Make DH do daddy duty this weekend and sleep in!

Oh, poor thing! I know all about that conspiratorial smile. I've busted mine doing the same thing. It usually follows a night where we have to do a head count to make sure no other children have snuck into our home. You know, the nights when they are making WAY too much commotion for only two small children.

Good luck. I've found black coffee with a Coke chaser, followed 2 hours later by a Venti non-fat latte at Starbucks can keep me awake until afternoonn nap time. :)
