I know there are topics on this out there, but I can't find them right now. Two of my close friends are hosting a shower for me, and two other friends are helping them out a bit.

Any ideas on what I should get for hostess gifts?? I have no clue. Do I get them all the same thing, or is different gifts appropriate?

Candy, candy, candy. Unless they don't like candy. Or are on a diet or something. And then maybe a plant (if they have a green thumb) or flowers (if they don't)?

I did boxes of Godiva chocolates for all my shower hostesses. Its something most people don't buy themselves, but its sooo yummy!

Gift certificate for manicure/pedicure - I love having my nails done but rarely splure for myself so I would love this if someone gave me this!

I gave clay pots that i had dh (i was pg) spray with chalkboard paint (craft store - paint is by krylon) and a box of chalk and an african violet just set into the pot. i also included a gift certificate to lowes/home depot for the ones who were the primary party throwers.

sil gave us a large candle, small photo book, and target gift cards.

I have given or received:
Manicure gift certificates
Travel candles
Vase and GF for a grocery to get an arrangement
Birthday Calendars (I think every mother needs these, only place I know to order them is from the MET Store on-line)
B&B Kitchen soap & Lotion tied up in a dishtowel and washcloth
Sets of Magnet Picture Frames $20 at BB&B or LnT's
Blenko water pitchers

Happy Shopping!

I am partial to sweets and smellies. B&B stuff is always well received as thank you presents as are flowers.
If you want to splurge on the ones that are doing a little more then I say get them a manicure or pampering gift of some kind.

I had Springy flowers sent to their homes the day after my shower, with a thank-you card. They were both so surprised and pleased!
