I'll ask my husband (a mac geek) when he gets home from work tomorrow. Have you tried just plugging it in to your computer and seeing if iMovie sucks it up? (I am rather technically inept but have learned to use iMovie although my video is digital.)

Is it on a MiniDV tape? What kind of camcorder is it??

Basically you need some special equipment to convert the analog VHS format to digital format and then only can you import it into the computer. Sorry. :(
