Poppy Seeds help with digestion?

Has anyone heard of this? I recently posted that my 2 year old son is having large bowel movements that hurt him. Someone told me that their pedi told them to not left their child have juice and to have her eat poppy seed muffins as it helps "clean out" the bowels. The doctor also said to push water and lots of it along with fiber.

I'm curious of anyone has heard of giving a toddler poppy seeds to help with this problem. Thanks!
