Birthday presents for DC's friends

How much do you typically spend on birthday presents for your DC's friends? I bought some Leap Pads at TRU for $17 to keep for birthday presents and was wondering if this is what most people usually spend.

Well, we haven't bought that many yet, but I've done between $15 and $20 for children we know well and play with all the time. So, $17 sounds fine to me.

I usually spend about $20-25, but the gifts we receive are usually $15-25. The Leap Pad would be a great gift for someone.
