I was hoping maybe some Harry Potter talk at any sights some may frequent has mentioned a pattern for a nice wizard cloak...

I have a friend making a knitted scarf for Reichen but would like to have a very nice cloak made for him. He is really into Harry Potter (and anything Jedi from Star Wars) and would be willing to do something beyond a simple thing I could make.

Thank you so much...I like the long sleeves.
I want to make sure it has the extra "umphhh" in it for him and really want it to be special since he just loves him so.

I found a few patterns that just seemed too basic, but this one looks nice!!!

I liked this but it is from Lord of the Rings and not Harry Potter

The one you show is more authentic to HP I think...

For the Harry Potter look, you definitely want the long sleeves as it is more like a graduation gown than a cloak.

This is a Harry Potter costuming site:

This particularly has a list of patterns to check out. Maybe you can find something that you'll like here:

I made that exact cloak a coupld of years ago for my oldest son, out of purple and black satin. I would send it to you, but it is going to be miles too big for Reichen.

Let me know if you can't find someone to make it for you. I am doing an Obi-Wan this year and a couple of "Legend of Zelda" things. I'm not sure about Katherine, but my oldest daughter, the anime freak, is designing something.
