Rather than all at once? And is there always bloody show with it? I've been losing mucuous (about a dime size or so) every day for the past couple of weeks. I'm due in 1.5 weeks.

I don't remember passing a mucuous plug with DS, so I guess I'm new at this.

Anyone?

You can lose it gradually. It sounds like you're gearing up to have a baby! Woo hoo!

Jennifer, sounds very familiar. I didn't have any blood last time around, it was much more clear.

Last weekend, though, it was more mucousy (like discharge) and the OB said that wasn't something to worry about. He said if I was soaking through a pad, then I should be concerned.

I'd call the OB to clarify--GOOD LUCK!! Can't wait to hear the good news!

yep - that was my experience. And I had no "bloody show" ever with Sophie.

How exciting! With Ds my water broke first and then the plug came out. Never any blood.

I wonder if you'll "beat" me to delivery. My guessdate is 9/4.

I started losing a bit of mucus for at least a few days before I lost the plug. Once I lost the plug, my water broke w/in 6 hours. There was no blood until my water broke.

Good luck!

I lost mine on a Wednesday and went into labor on Friday and had dd on Saturday. I leaked the plug out for those three days. I never had a bloody show either.

Congratulations!!! Good Luck!

I lost mine gradually over a week or so, and had to be induced. I did not enjoy the mucus part at all and I'm totally dreading it again! Mucus is one thing I can NEVER stand, whether pregnant or not!

Sound like you might be having a baby soon!!! Congrats and keep us posted!

Thanks everyone! Hopefully the baby will be a tad early. DS is going to be the ringbearer in SIL's wedding, which is slated to be 1.5 weeks after my due date!

I never lost mine (naturally at least), so can't comment on that. But wanted to wish you good luck! We'll be eager to hear how the next few weeks go!

How exciting! There are so many babies gearing up to enter the world!
To answer your question I lost my plug over a week's time. I did have a lot of discharge for some reason that very well may have been smaller pieces of my plug. I only had one little "bit" that had a brown streak in it. Otherwise no bloody show.
GL!!
