Bad bad mama :(

DH, DS, and I went for a long (8km) walk today at Iona Beach, a long jetty that is actually a big honking sewer pipe going out to the ocean, but it's right behind the airport and has an absolutely gorgeous view...

It was overcast most of the time, rainy part of the time, and there were spots of sun here and there...but the reflection off of the water must've been enough for DS to be all sunburned. Even under where the brim of his hat went...he seems fine and doesn't seem to mind, but jeez - what was I thinking?

Nothing like a sun burned kid to make you feel bad! I did the same this summer. After doing it to my kids I tried to figure out what would make them feel best. Cool baths and nothing but aloe seemed to make them feel better.
