Well, we finally did it. We went to *test drive* haha the new ford freestyles to see if we liked it. Needless to say, we did. We traded in our 2001 ford escape with 109,000 miles (ouch). And just a word to the wise, the new "family pricing" isn't all it's cracked up to be if you're trading in. But I won't go into that here. Wanted to show you all Brighton's new car!

Congratulations! I hope Brighton enjoys his new ride!

DH and I are considering a Freestyle for our next car, but that's about three years down the road. But we are also thinking of the Five Hundred, Fusion (new for 2006) and the Lincoln Zephyr (also new for 2006). DH works for Ford and already has had a chance to look over the Fusion and Zephyr. He says they are both really suh-weet!:)

The Freestyle will be discontinued by then I believe. I think they are only planning it's run to be thru 2006 or 2007. Just fyi.

They're really planning to discontinue it?! BUMMER! We drove a 500 too but couldn't figure out where we'd haul the dogs if need be. We do like it so far. It rides great. But the gas mileage so far isn't what it's supposed to be. DH keeps telling me that it takes a while but forpetesakes. I drove 60 miles today and it ate up 1/4 tank of gas...

Congratulations! I really liked the freestyle and came very close to it over the Explorer. I love that it has the raised space under the front seats for the 2nd row passengers' leg rooms. That is such an ingenious design (my Matrix had it as well) I don't know why more models don't emmulate it.
