My BIL saved me today from hours of agony. I lost my keys inside Costco--I looked and asked if anyone had turned them in for TWO HOURS and nothing. I was in tears, with a two year old wanting to go home to sleep and no end in sight. My BIL came from home where he was nursing a sprained foot and brought me my spare house key, took me home to get my spare car keys, then after hanging out at Costco himself for another hour, brought my keys to me when eventually someone turned them in to customer service. Without him I would have had to have my car re-keyed (and the locksmith didn't appear to have even SEEN a Subaru before) and I would have been there for another hour, at least--and DS wouldn't have been able to take his nap until 3:30, if he even would have gotten one. Much less lunch. (I was *this close* to buying some huge food item in bulk just so DS could get something to eat, since on top of everything I had no cash for the snack bar!)
I want to get him something--we don't actually get along all that well, but he really went out of his way this time. What would you do?
