With all the posts on natural cleaning products, I went and bought the book by Karen Logan. I have a bunch of materials ready to be made into nifty cleaning products, if I could only find a spray bottle. I've looked at Target and Walmart. I found 32 oz bottles at Target, but nothing else. Where did you get them??

Try Sam's or Costco. I bought a package of several (4 or 5, maybe) empty spray bottles at one of those places a while ago. I was just thinking about how they are sitting in my utility room and I should try to mix up some natural cleaning solutions. The posts here have been inspiring me too! :)

HTH!

ETA: Now I am wondering if my bottles are "safe" plastic. I glanced at the threads about pthalates (however that is spelled) last week, but I didn't really read them carefully. Something else to worry about. So maybe the contents of my bottles will be non-toxic, but the bottles themselves will make the solution toxic. Ugh. I should stop overthinking this.

I didn't find many in my B&M stores (found some at Target, but not a large variety), so I just ordered from here:

The bottles I have from them are pretty good and Kaya is actually learning to spray them. Somewhat off topic, but today she "helped" me by spraying the floor, windows, glass doors, and mirrored closets, while I wiped. It's great when you can fill the bottle with club soda and lime oil and not worry about her getting some on my carpets or on herself. She even "got" me in the face a couple of times and no problem at all. We wouldn't be able to do that with 409 or Windex! Anyway, we both had a ball today. :)

On Eileen's recommendation I also ordered from US Plastic. I'm anxiously awaiting my package. I also didn't have much luck at conventional stores. They always had one or two but they weren't quite "right" IYKWIM?

I've gotten a couple at Smart&Final, but that was a couple years ago. I've seen some metal bottle (but still plastic sprayers) ones in chef's catalogs, but they were pretty spendy.

I get mine at the hardware store. They are a nice size, similar to store brand cleaner bottles.

I got most of mine from Walmart (99cents for a 32 oz one). I know that the book suggests smaller bottles, bt honestly I find the 32 oz fine. Then just today actually I got some 16 oz spray bottles for $1 easch to keep my vinegar and peroxide in under the kitchen sink. I got them at the grocery store in the cleaning/laundry aisle. Also some smaller ones that could work would be in the cosmetics section at Walmart/target.

The 32 oz at Target were really tall and I wondered if they'd even fit in a normal cabinet. Other than that, they seemed fine size-wise for most things. I'll have to keep checking or order from Eileen's site.

I am assuming, and could be wrong, that it doesn't matter too much. The safeness is mostly due to heating in the plastic, I think. And, it's for food safety. So, if you're not heating your window solution in the microwave and serving it for dinner, I think you'll be fine. Someone please tell me if I'm way off here!

I use 36 oz bottles, I bought 4 of them together at Sam's Club they are commercial type bottles. I found them near all the other business related products. I got them about a year ago though so not sure they still sell them. Have you checked beauty supply type stores or the dollar stores? You can use the 32oz ones you found at target and just not fill them all they way if you have to.

I bought a couple of small ones from Target a while ago. I saw some big ones (may be 16 oz) on my recent trip to the dollar store. They seemed to be pretty good. I am pretty sure they would fit in normal cabinets.

This is what I assume as well.
