my keys. I have misplaced them and DH is about to kill me. Where might my DS have put them? I have checked the usual suspects like trash cans and drawers he can reach, but no luck yet.

Chris

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Those of you who suggested inside shoes are the winners!! Thanks so much. Now I am off to post about those things you attach to your keys to find then when they get lost.

Block basket, magazine basket, under the sofa, on dining room chair in the cat food dish.
Or, you could just ask him?

Are you positive they aren't in the car? Mine fell under the seat once when I couldn't find them. Other places to check - other purses, pants pockets and jacket pockets.

Let's see - other fun places to put things:

Under the air vents in the floor
Around the TV/VCR in the entertainment center
In the VCR
In the diaper pail (especially if you have a Diaper Champ)
In shoes
In the toy box/toy bins
Under beds
In toys that you can push around
Ride on toys (ours had a compartment under the seat)
In toys made to put things in and take them out
In the toilet (hope not)
In the toaster

I hope you find them.

Last week after a bit of a search I found that Kai had left my keys on a book shelf.

Try inside shoes too!

Good luck!

Have you tried in the laundry room? How about the garage? In your office? These are the most common places I leave my keys (ack!). Also, I have a bad habit of running upstairs with them and leaving them on my vanity as I go to reapply lipstick or take off a necklace.

Did you check in some low-lying Kitchen cupboards? How about on the fireplace mantel? (don't even know if you have one)

My sympathies...I really hate losing my keys and/or wallet.

This just happened to me! I looked for HOURS on end to find my keys on Thursday and Friday. Eventually dh found them in the canopy of my stroller which was folded in the trunk of my car. I had been unloading groceries into the house and must have put them down there while bringing in the bags. They fell into the stroller. I had opened and refolded the stroller but guess I forgot to fully open the canopy. Just a thought....this was the most frustrating thing. I actually spent 2 hours awake in bed trying to retrace every step one night!

Drawers, dressers, tables, shelves, next to stereo or vcr, under entertainment center or couch, in cusions of couch, laundry basket, trash can, between fabric of carseat and the plastic of carseat. Yes, we've found various items in all of these unlikely places, mostly by accident when we'd given up the idea of the item being found!

Good luck finding them Chris!

Yay! So what you need is one of those beeping things that go off when you clap your hands, right? :) Or maybe something that you can connect to a remote so that it'll beep when you hit the remote. Of course, then it means you have to keep the remote somewhere where it won't get lost!
