My friend said she read that the travel one worked just as well as the regular sized one for a LOT less. Just thought I'd post the link and share the info. I still don't know if I'm ready to take the plunge.

that my hairdresser said she'd be willing to order for me and friends (I told her there was discussion here about them) at her cost which I think she said was $95 or $100. then we have tax of 7% here.

If that interest you she will do it if we send her checks ahead of time.

She said it is Bayliss brand and that is the one she likes.

don't know if that is a super deal but she did offer...

Thanks for posting that. I was recently thinking about taking the plunge myself, and then came across your post. :)

I have a super solano and it is awesome! It was about $80 NIB on ebay. Everyone who's used mine (family and friends when visiting) rave about how awesome it is. I don't like ionics because it makes my hair feel "flat" and my hair is straight and fine so I need to boost what I have!

Ulta has them on sale for $30 off, but the price is still around $200...yikes!! If you're interested, I have Ulta coupon for another 20% off, but that's still a lot of $$! Looks you found a good deal!

BTW, my hairdresser works part time at a beauty supply store so I get all my supplies (ETA: including CHI and babyliss) from her for dirt cheap. If you ever need something, just let me know.

DO IT!!! Mine has made such a huge difference in the condition of my grey, very over colored hair that I would not have believed it. Buy it st Sephora and you can return it if you are not pleased. Am buying the smaller one for my mom for Xmas.

How much would a Chi ceramic flat iron be through your friend? I have been wanting one forever but can't justify the cost.

I didn't realize that Sephora had such a generous return policy. Hmmmm, I might get it now! Thanks for the 411.

So I was looking at Target, and happened to cruise down their hairdryer aisle. There was like 10 different hairdriers...Conair and the like...that said ceramic ionic...and they were like $20 bucks. What's the scoop?
