Remember when I asked how many of you had DC's who either had or were in a naked phase? Funny thing--the weather has turned colder, so Kaya is more willing to have clothes on (although she does try to remove shoes and socks whenever the temp is above 65). However, she still likes to have all her dolls, stuffed animals, etc., that have clothing to be naked. So I got her a cute little $1.99 doll (~6") with soft body, but vinyl face, hands, and legs, and the first things she did in the store was to try yanking off the hat (which was tagged onto the doll) and the clothes. So it is now naked. Today, we broke down and got her a Corolle Tidoo doll (she's been playing with her playmate's dolls whenever she sees them) and she's been strolling it (and the little one) all over the house. But guess what? One of the first things she did with the Corolle was to remove the clothes. So her desire to be free of clothing has spread to her dolls and mouse (the one that has clothing). :P

BTW, for anyone looking for an affordable doll that's good for a young toddler, the Corolle dolls (12") are a hit with Kaya. One of our toy stores (love this place!) sold both the doll and the stroller for a comparable price to Kidsurplus, so we got it.

Awww.. I love picturing Kaya taking care of her dollies.

Jazz was removing her clothes at naptime last week when it was warm, but she's at most taken her shirts off this (cooler) week. We've completely adopted one-piece zip-up pjs for night. The 2-piecers were gone in minutes!

I'm thinking it's less to do with exhibitionism and more because she CAN. Just like she experiments with taking every toy apart, ripping up magazines, dumping out the puzzles, etc.

Cute story: last week Jazz went down for a nap. She was completely silent. About 20 minutes later, we heard her giggling uncontrollably. Quiet. A little more giggling. Complete silence. Then whining. Then SCREAMING. MIL went in to get her and she was completely bare! We assume it made her giggle each time she removed an item! :)

That's totally hilarious! Yep, it's definitely because they can. Kaya can now get out of her Halo sleepsacks and we don't want her to get to the point where she takes off her diaper, so for nights now, we put the sleepsack on backwards. :)

Okay, so here's a picture of Kaya with her critters, since I haven't posted any pics of her in a while (ignore the laundry in the background):

And after she took them for a ride, she decided she needed a ride. She tried sitting in their stroller so I had to zip downstairs and dig out her umbrella stroller (which we rarely use):

She had fun taking a bath with her new dolly, too, although she had even more fun playing with her spray bottle. :)

AWWWWWW! Kaya's pictures always melt my heart a little bit! :)

You're right, she's built just like Ms. Jazz. Relatively big head on slim body! I can't believe your "internal c/s" story; soooo sorry!

That is pure genius putting the sleepsacks on backwards. Your pics remind me that I should look for a doll stroller. Jazzy loves the one at her friend's house. Our house is covered in toys though. I need to swap some out.

I see London, I see France, I see Eileen's underpants! (Which I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed them out.) :)

Okay, I had to look carefully, but whew--they're not my underpants (you are talking about the white things, right?).

Wow, I would have guessed they were washcloths! :) I do non't see any underpants. Hee hee.

Kaya is gorgeous! I love the story - she is really smart to project her stripping feelings onto her dolls!

hee hee. I think I just was meaning the laundry in general. I honestly didn't look very closely. Looks to me now like socks, baby jeans, and baby washcloths? I would have loved to see some tiger-striped g-strings, Eileen. Where are they hiding? :)
