Don't worry about the mixed reviews; this is a lovely and heartwarming story. It's a semi-autobiographical movie by Cameron Crowe about a man dealing with professional failure and the death of his father. It made us appreciate our parents not only for the care they gave us, but also as real people with life stories and dreams of their own, however exasperating they can be sometimes. The movie is funny, warm, and has a great soundtrack. DH and I both enjoyed it, and we left the theater wanting to call our parents and tell them we love them. Oh, and to get the CD too.
