Hello everyone. I am looking for ideas for gifts for the grandparents for Christmas from my DD. She will be almost 18 months at Christmas. I am just looking for something that is thoughtful but not expensive. For example, my future SIL is getting a necklace that was made by my DD daycare teacher (she makes beautiful jewlery). However, the stuff isn't something that either grandmother would wear. We did picture frames last year so I want to do something different. There isn't much that I can think of and I am not crafty at all.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks,
Angela

Something with pictures of DD - that's what grandparents appreciate, I think. I'd just go to a couple of on-line sites like Shutterfly, Snapfish and Kodak Gallery and check out your options. You can do photo calendars, mouse pads, coffee mugs, magnets, notepads, stamps, t-shirts, aprons, cookies, puzzles, notecards and other such gifts. You also can put together photobooks. I did some at Ofoto (now Kodak Gallery) and they were very nice. You upload the photos you want to use, pick the cover color and style, page style, photo sizes, add captions and then a printed, bound book will arrive.

ETA: You could also make photo Christmas ornaments. I got some photo ornaments at Kohls last year and put photos of DS in them. My mom thought they were great!

I'm going to second a photobook. We did some last year for the grandparents and I think we're required to every year! They loved and and we kept a copy for ourselves, too. We'll also be giving them some of DD's handprints that we meant to give them months ago as a surprise and forgot to! Oops!

A pic calendar! MIL LOVES hers from Shutterfly and said "it's better than all her friends' calendars". :P They have lots of borders to choose from and I coordinated the pics with the monthly holidays/occasions. It was a hit and I've been instructed it's to be a repeat gift.

I was going to suggest the same thing as the PPs. This is DD's first Christmas and so I thought we'd do the calendars, mugs or mousepads in addition to their regular gift. I know my mom would love a calendar to put up on her refrigerator and a mug and mousepad for her office! It's such a cute and thoughtful gift.

Another vote for a Shutterfly picture calendar! I gave one to my bf last year for Christmas and I wish I had one for myself!
