Update: I could use some postitive thinking today!

Wow, you guys are great! Thanks for all the happy thoughts.

The midwife tried 2 different dopplers to find the heartbeat but couldn't. So, she brought in the ultrasound and was able to find a moving baby with a healthy heartbeat! His/Her back was facing outward and s/he was very low, so that's why it was so hard to find.

DS was sitting on my lap for all of this and was just facinated by the doppler and ultrasound and kept signing "more".

I can't believe how easily these almost 12 weeks have gone! I am very relieved that all is well.

I have an appointment with my midwife this afternoon. I'm a bit worried that something has gone wrong with the pregnancy and we won't find a heartbeat. I haven't had any morning sickness and I haven't gained even a pound. My clothes all still fit like they did this summer. I'm 11.5 weeks and by this time with DS, I was sizing up clothes and had gained a whopping 13 pounds!

I'm really hoping that I'm just having one of those easy preganancies, but I can't help but worry that that isn't the case. So, I need positive sticky thoughts today, please!

FWIW--I never had any morning sickness. In fact I never had any "typical" pregnancy symptoms and was worried the entire time that something must be wrong. But DS is in the other room sleeping right now!

And I hope this makes you feel a little better, I have not even had a quarter of the (normal) pregnancy issues with this pregnancy as last. As a matter of fact even the swelling I had a couple of weeks ago has gone away. The only issue I have is heartburn. I am sure it will get worse as we grow, but it is alarming to me how unpregnant I feel, minus baby moving of course....

At our appointment on Wednesday he had a strong heartbeat and I am measuring normally.

I'll be thinking of you! I had a very similar experience and having experienced a loss, I was sure it was happening again, but I had a healthy baby in there. FWIW-I did not believe that I was pregnant (despite 5 positive urine pregnancy tests) because I felt no morning sickness at all and very few other sxs. My MW pulled the sono machine in and showed me a beautiful little heartbeat. It did wonders to ease my anxiety. Hope you hear those wonderful sounds. Keep us posted.

just wanted to say that i didn't wear maternity clothes while pregnant with dylan or gain a pound until about 20 weeks. i was just so busy chasing schuyler, i didn't eat like i did during my first pregnancy. (even then, i didn't gain too much weight- except at the end!) so don't worry too much about your size- i know everyone says the second baby pops out really early, but it was the total opposite for me and dylan was a giant baby just like his brother!
