OT: Does the file load utility not work when using Safari on a Mac?

I'm trying to upload a picture from DDs birthday. Can't get it to work.

I always upload from Safari, so it's got to be a setting somewhere. Are you getting an error message of some sort?

Thanks for answering Laura. It appears that even though you supposedly upload large files that it doesn't really work. I had to get a trial version of photoshop elements and "dumb down" the size of the file. Then it uploaded. Whew. I guess I'll ahve to buy photoshop elements.

Check your Applications folder and see if you have Graphic Converter. It can resize pics.

You can also resize in iPhoto. Just do Share... Export, and then change the file size.

You shouldn't need to buy anything just for this!

Like Cheryl said. I use iPhoto to do this all the time now and it is so easy. I usually shrink to something like 400x533.

I use a shareware utility called MacImage Resizer! It's great!!!! Check on tucows.com or versiontracker.com for it. I can resize an entire folder of pics in seconds.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm relatively new to the Mac so don't know all the features. I kind of assumed I could resize in iphoto I just couldn't figure it out.

I would *love* to resize a whole folder. i'm off to check that out.

Yep, that was it! I was saving from iPhoto to the desktop, then uploading from there, but I guess they were too big. I just resized them (which I didn't know how to do until now) and here we go! Oh, happy day!
