DS never gets to play with crayons outside the kitchen but somehow he got out with one today and accidentally swiped it on our fabric covered window seat/bench.

I haven't tried to get it off yet, I don't want to make it worse. Is there any method to get it out without using chemicals?

TIA!

I see your crayon on upholstery & raise you a burst red magic marker on an ivory wool rug (see bitching post...)

Someone over there recommended contacting crayola - unfortunately, I brought out & aggressively used the "spot shot" out of the cupboard a few hours before posting this morning...

Funny thing, DD's 4 & I've never had any incidents like this... maybe the dog felt I was really overdue...

No advice to offer, but I have to thank you for making me chuckle out loud on what has been an EXTREMELY trying day!

We had green crayon on an off white cloth sofa in our playroom I was so bummed and kind of ignored it not knowing what to do. I was so bummed and felt it was ruined. Honestly over time it has gone away.

I don't know why, was the sofa treated or something...I don't know but it did go away. It might be light now but I have no noticed it lately. This happened about 4 months ago.

Thanks for trying to help.... I do have some fancy carpet spot cleaner but I'd prefer not to use it if I can...

At least the crayon is on a dark patterned fabric... and not ivory carpet!!

Set your iron on the "warm" setting or the lowest setting. Let the iron get warm. Take a couple of sheets of paper towel and put them on the ironing board. Take the fabric with the wax stain, and place the stain over the paper towels. Place additional paper towels over the stain. Then press the iron on the spot. Do not move the iron back and forth, but just set it down, leave it for a moment, and lift it up. Check the paper towels to see if any wax has been absorbed. If some of the wax has been asborbed, move the paper towels to a clean spot and do the same thing again until the wax is removed. You are going to melt the wax and transfer it onto the paper towels. Be careful not to "iron the wax on the paper towels" back onto the fabric, if you have to repeat the wax transfer treatment. This worked for colored candle wax on my carpet.

This might sound strange, but my daughter took a crayon to our couch last week and I was able to get it out using the Magic Eraser. I don't think it's even supposed to be used on fabric, but it took it right out.
