Ok ladies, I need your expert help!

DH and I are going to a 40th surprise party for our neighbor tomorrow. They said gag gifts only. We are stumped on what to get. Any ideas? I don't know a ton of stuff about him, but I do know he likes sports and drinking beer. I wouldn't want to get anything Xrated - we don't know him *that* well! I've waited until the last minute here so it's needs to be something easy to get. Worst case we might just get him a 5th of something, but it would be nice to be a bit more creative than that.

you could maybe get him LITE beer, since he is "old" now (I am almost there, myself, so I say old in a joking way), and some geritol and things like that - that's what people got a friend of mine at work, a bunch of age related things that you can pick up at a drug store.

How about a homemade gift of a little fact sheet of what life was like the year he was born, or his childhood years? Stuff like price of gas, etc. Or a THEN - NOW comparison. That might be fun.

Or one of those, you know you're old when... types of joke things? All stuff that his generation could relate to?

We did something for my SIL's birthday and gave her a gift of WD-40 and a CD of UB-40. There were a few other things, but I don't remember them. Oh, one of them was one of those 40-ounces of beer. HTH!

These are really clever! Funny thing is the first thing I thought of when beer was mentioned was one of those hats that holds a beer can on each side with a straw that goes to the mouth. ;)

*that* is hysterical! How clever! I'm going to run these ideas by DH and see what he thinks.
