It was just the three of us yesterday for T-giving so we decided to buy a smoked turkey from Costco. It was delicious and so easy! We picked up some cornbread dressing from a local restaurant but it was only ok. We will be having family over for Xmas and have decided we will do another smoked turkey but don't want to get the same dressing. Does anyone have a super easy dressing recipe or now were I can buy some delicious premade dressing? Thanks!

I used the cornbread stuffing bag from Pepperidge Farm - followed the directions on the back (water plus margeriine and added a little extra water) and added sauteed celery & onions to it plus toasted chopped walnuts and cranberries. It was delicious and all disappeared!

by any chance was the local restaurant Cracker Barrel.

Their dressing is the best (I either buy it when we have Cracker Barrel catered thanksgivings or make it myself according to their recipe). It's a combo of cornbread and biscuit crumbs, sauteed onions/celery, some sage, poultry seasoning and plenty of broth. Really yummy.

I just tore up some sourdough bread, let it dry overnight on cookie sheets, and added sauteed celery, apple & onion. Threw in some rosemary, pecans & dried cherries, and melted butter & chicken stock for moistness. Turned out great!

Really easy and really good. We've made it for years and given the recipe link out at least a dozen times! :-)

Sorry to bump this up, but I just got this recipe for the dressing we had for Thanksgiving. Very very yummy, and possibly similar to kellyotn's recipe.

1 package Pepperidge Farm Cornbread Dressing
Twice the amount of chicken broth or water and bullion called for on the package
1 stick of butter
1/2 lb of sausage
1 c chopped celery
1 c chopped onion
1 egg

Brown the 1/2 lb of sausage. Sauté the chopped onion and celery in the sausage grease. Drain. Mix sausage, onion, celery, and dressing in a large bowl. Bring the broth and stick of butter to a boil. Then pour it in the dressing mix. Stir a raw egg into the mixture. Put dressing in a casserole dish and cook at 350 for 35-45 minutes. Yum!
