Suggestions for a good Ob-GYN in NYC.

Hello everyone!
My sister is expecting a baby in July.. she randomly picked an OB-GYN practice from her insurance booklet and is not sure if they are good, bad or ugly.
I volunteered to find out from you guys if there is anyone you would recommend? Preferably Upper East Side.

And while we are on the subject, a pediatrician also.

yes! i lived in nyc when i had olivia and my ob was dr saul stromer who delivers at lenox hill hospital and he's on the upper east side. i highly recommend him for his excellent care. he's phenomenal and he was approachable and open to talking about your care. (i recently happened to post about him in another thread called i love my ob.)

the pediatrician i used was also very good. he referred me to her and used her for his own kids. her name is dr. shuli kon and she's on the upper west side.

When I lived in NYC, my OB was Dr. Abbe Wain. She's part of a larger group at Mt. Sinaii on the Upper East Side.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my OB. Her name is Joyce Kim and she is on Park in the 70's. Part of an all woman practice. She delivers at Mt. Sinai. Dr. Popper is my recommendation for pediatrician. She was recommended by Dr. Kim. She is her pediatrician and Dr. Kim's parents are both pediatricians so I really trusted her recommendation and was very happy.
