View Full Version : Arrgghh....BRU frustration - Formula Delivery Services?

Well - after just a "short" 10 months - our local BRU STILL cannot get it right with Zach's Enfamil A.R. Formula.

I swear to God - every time I go there to pickup his 3 cases of formula I leave 1 step closer to a coronary. Why it's so godawful difficult to have 3 cases available every 2-3 weeks is beyond my comprehension (the A.R. forumla is not a "normal" one they typically stock). To ask the morons (including the store manager) about it every time is an excercise in futility - nothing but blank clueless stares.

They just don't seem to get it - 3 cases every 2-3 weeks - hell we even gave up on them calling us to tell us it was in since that only happens every 3rd or 4th time. We are supposed to have a "standing raincheck" for it - but for some reason they always screw it up - and I end up running all over God's creation buying up every 1-2 cans that Target, Eckerd or Rite Aid has - to get us by until they get in the cases at BRU that were supposed to be there. Like today - over 3 hours of running around only to come home with 3 cans.

Whew...I feel better now.

Now on to my question: Is there any home formula delivery service available other than the one Enfamil offers on the website? Does anyone have any suggestions for ones they've used and been satisfied with? Thanks in advance.

I've ordered other items via drugstore.com and have always been happy. If this is what you're looking for:

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=148765&catid=26967&trx=PLST-0-SRCH&trxp1=26967&trxp2=148765&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-SRCH

Maybe it's a start? Also looks like there's free shipping and 5% back via ebates as well.

Have you tried ebay? I think Candice (sashalicks) buys her formula that way.

What a pain!!

I suggest Drugstore.com or Walgreens.com. Or see if your friendly grocery manager at your regular grocery store will just order cases for you...they might be more reliable than BRU. I have always had positive experiences with special grocery orders.

I heard that AMAZON is adding formula soon if they have not already.

AR might be tricky to always find on Ebay and you have to be careful---once shipping is added many Ebay auctions are the same or MORE than buying IRL. But I have found bargains there.

LOVE drugstore.com!!!

Not only is it 5% back through ebates, but you get an additional 5% of 'drugstore.com money' that you can apply to purchases every so often.

It's my new addiction! ;)

Is this it? http://tinyurl.com/exhfn Not sure if $77.49 is a good price for a 6-pack or not.

ETA: The Enfamil site has a $10 rebate on orders through Nov. 30.

Thanks for the info - however - we use the premixed canned formula.

The Enfamil and Drugstore.com prices seem to be about 1 case higher than what we pay at BRU. We pay about $110 for 3 cases at BRU - and Enfamil and Drugstore.com prices are $140-$145 for 3 cases.

We decided we're giving BRU one more chance - then it's off to one of the online delivery services - the 30 or so bucks just isn't worth the frustration.
